In November of '05, a group from my church (Bethel Baptist Church in Sellersville, Pa) went down to Mississippi to help with the Katrina cleanup. We stayed in the gym of Central Baptist Church and helped some of their church members clean their yards up, clear debris and other misc. jobs. It was a very fun week in that we were able to serve the Lord while helping our fellow sisters and brothers in Christ. It was an awesome experience and I would definitely do it again!

Cindy and I were the only girls on the team, we just got a little dirty as you can see. Although Cindy is holding the chainsaw she refused to use it, ever.

When the guys drove by this sign, they had to stop and get a picture in front of it.
One afternoon we made a trip down to New Orleans and Gulfport to see the sites. The streets were pretty empty, and it was amazing to see the sites firsthand. These guys look pretty tough don't they?

The Superdome Parking Lot, still had water in it 2 months later . . .

The skidster, John was awesome at maneuvering in it.
I always wondered about him . . .
